More than many sparrows

Bring everything to God in prayer and never doubt God’s intense and personal love for you. This is the message of the Spanish mystic, Teresa of Avila (1515-82). Declared a Doctor of the Church in 1970, St Teresa is a sure guide, supporting today’s new-found interest in contemplation. There is so much you can take into your prayer simply by looking at the world around you: flowers, sky, birds, trees. Become awake to the beauty, variety, the energy, the love. And it is all God’s gift to you!
