Simplicity and joy

When elected Pope, Jorge Bergoglio chose to be known by the name of today’s saint, finding inspiration in his life of ‘simplicity and joy.’ St Francis’ communion with nature and his love of humanity make him a model for our time when the cry of the poor is also the cry of nature. Pope Francis calls all to live simply and joyfully, caring for one another and our common home.
