Congratulations to Fr Ekuasi Manu SM and to Fr Seluini ’Akau’ola SM

In a ceremony at Nuku'alofa, Tonga, in July, the Principal of Apifo’ou College, Fr Ekuasi Manu, received the King's Birthday Medal of Honour. Fr Ekuasi studied educational leadership in Brisbane, living in the Marist community of Paddington before becoming the Principal at Apifo'ou three years ago.

Fr Seluini ‘Akau’ola received the same award for services to education. As Fr Seluini was in Australia receiving medical treatment, the award was received by his 90-year-old mother, Ana ‘Akau’ola, on his behalf.
