Resurrection faith

Try pondering this Gospel like the Virgin Mary. She was entrusted to be the mother of God, was the first to go in haste to Elizabeth with that good news and had to share it with Joseph. Here Mary Magdalene is entrusted with resurrection news, a birth of a different order, and goes to share it with the disciples. Mary did not meet the risen Lord until she had discovered the empty tomb. Do we need to rediscover our emptiness and need for God? Jesus encouraged Magdalene to let go fear and death and move on with resurrection faith.
