Being fruitful

When the seed breaks open, its potential is released. To become fruitful we, too, need a ‘breaking open.’ The Creator blessed me with particular gifts and talents for building up the people of God, not for my personal promotion. My gifts do not automatically help others. But if I accept my brokenness and vulnerability, I do not provoke envy or resentment in others. Then my gifts can be a blessing for others. Today I ask God to help me carry my brokenness with humility and joy.
