All human families experience love and struggle. Joseph learns that Mary is pregnant. He regards her highly, and wants to spare her public exposure. He also wants to do God’s will. Mary feels safe with Joseph; she trusts him, knowing his closeness to God. Joseph will be a great father-figure in the home at Nazareth where he labours with love as a carpenter – a trade he teaches Jesus. In Joseph’s life we see the importance of respectful relationships. Social media has both built and destroyed relationships. May others feel that their good name is safe with me.
