Our God has compassion
How beautiful to know that our God has compassion for our pain and poverty. Jesus makes visible the compassion of God of which Isaiah speaks. With Jesus, it is not merely a feeling but is always translated into action. He multiplies his own compassion by choosing and sending out a group of his followers to heal and to teach. We are Jesus’ followers today and we too are asked to spread the compassion of God, of Jesus, to all that are in need physically, emotionally and spiritually. Who are the needy people in our world that you might be able to reach as a Catholic Christian?
