Called to be saints
Baptism calls us into the Communion of Saints. In this Communion are many who from their labours rest with God in heaven. Their lives, canonised or not, live on amongst us today through love. Growing into saintliness brings a contemplative beauty to a Catholic life. Jesus Christ speaks of this beauty in the Beatitudes today. This life is a happy, love filled life which labours here on earth seeking God through His Son. Today is a day to rest in the knowledge that I am called to be a saint.
