My good friend stands by me

“I will not be afraid, just as long as you stand by me”. These words come from the song ‘Stand by me’, made more popular in the film of the same name. It emphasises the principle that as long as I have the good company of a good friend, I need not fear – I can, and will, manage. Do I see Jesus as my good friend, my good company? Be confident and take him with you into the next ‘fearful’ situation.
