Sunday 3 May
Acts 2:14, 36-41; Psalm 23; 1 Peter 2:20-25;
John 10:1-10
Throughout today’s readings there is a call to integrity. The crowds recognise the authenticity of what Peter has to say and respond to it; in the second reading we are called not to lose our sense of integrity, even when harshly or falsely treated or abused; and in the Gospel we are called to recognise the voice of Jesus above all others. Sometimes we struggle to be as authentic as we know we should be, but we find the encouragement we need in Jesus: “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full”.
