Slowness!

Jesus was tempted as we are. Today, Mark records a moment when the patience of Jesus was really put to the test. What’s wrong with you? he seems to be saying to the disciples as they misunderstand his warning to be on guard against the “yeast” of the Pharisees and Herod. Have you no perception? Are your minds closed?

If it was difficult for Jesus, no wonder we have trouble with patience! His words should be clearer for us. Our minds and hearts wide open to his message. Are they? Or are today’s disciples still testing his patience?
