Our Father

Standing outside in the dark of the night, looking up at the stars, we can feel dwarfed by the immensity of the universe. Yet the author of Wisdom likens this universe to a ‘drop of morning dew that falls on the ground’. All of creation is as nothing when compared to the infinite God! And still this God cares personally for each one of us. He is merciful to all because he loves all his creation. God, then, is truly ‘Our Father’. As we pray the prayer Jesus gave us we should reflect with wonder and gratitude on these two words.
