Showing God’s face

Jesus gives the gift of joy and rest especially to those most broken by life and illness. Just as Jesus promises refreshment to the most weary of souls so we can share in his ministry of healing in many simple ways – to make a pot of soup and share it with the housebound, to bake a batch of scones and take it to a family with children, to offer to take a person to hospital so they can visit a sick family member – all these examples, which I learnt from my parents, are practical ways we show the face of God’s love to others and help bring rest to their souls.
