The liturgical year

Today marks the end of another season of the liturgical year. In our readings today, Luke concludes his writing of the Acts of the Apostles with brief comments about St Paul’s life in Rome and John signs off from his gospel with some personal reflections about his recording the life of Jesus. Perhaps those readings are an invitation for us to look back over our own story and consider how we have participated in the liturgies of the Easter season that ends today.
