Aroha mai, Aroha atu -- Love, Love

Love, given and received, is mentioned in the readings which are building towards Christ's passion. We need Christ as the vine, for life and sustenance. Christ needs us - the branches - to be his voice and his hands. Our love for him makes us strong, and willing to go the extra mile. We smile when ridiculed for our belief. We pray silently when we hear his name used in swearing. We ask his Holy Spirit to guide us when we defend our beliefs.
