…you will follow me later…
During this week we are invited to be with Jesus. We have lived through many Holy Weeks and Easter celebrations, and it is never just a holiday time for us. Yet can we be attentive to this Holy Week, right here and now, because now is where our experience is. Jesus became visibly upset and they knew it. Betrayal is one of the most undermining experiences, a time when love is drained from our days and all becomes bleak. Sometimes the only real support is to be with the one hurting. May we be with Jesus in the face of betrayal and feel our deepening love for him. His story is our story.
