Return to the Lord
We hear the story of the Prodigal Son again today. It reminds us that the season of Lent is about returning and coming home to the Lord. It is a time to reflect on our lives and see where we have not brought things in our life to him. We should try and see where we have hidden parts of ourselves from him because of confusion or shame. The parable has a clear message for us - that God will always welcome us with open arms and heal the hurt we feel inside. We are his beloved, he made us, we belong to him.
