Praying for strength

The scene in Luke 21 shifts from Jerusalem and historical events to the whole world and the coming of the reign of God. Here, Luke calls to us to be alert and to pray. This gospel opens with the whole assembly of the people praying (1:10) and presents Jesus as praying more than in other gospels. Am I alert today to this call? Do I make time to pray that I ‘may have the strength’ to discover Jesus in all things today?
