Discerning the Right Way

It can be easy – perhaps too easy – to avoid responsibility for our decisions and actions by saying that we just rely on what the law (or its equivalent) tells us. True discernment – rather than simply pleasing ourselves – allows us to ‘interpret the time’ and to ‘judge for ourselves what is right’. Through prayer and reflection we can come to an understanding of what is ‘right action’ and so proceed accordingly.
