Division and multiplication

Abraham Lincoln said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe that this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free.” Prejudices, negative habits, ignorance, fear and stony hearts are obstacles to wholeness and holiness. I wonder if the President Trump-led government will endure? Here in New Zealand divisions also exist and separate us. We, as a country, have historical and current demons. Let us open ourselves to the healing power of Christ and view our history and the current reality through his eyes. We need the multiplication of love and justice, not division.
