May they all be one

This text is for us – we are the ones who believe through the words of others, not because we were there with Jesus 2000 years ago. Today, as I write, is the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18 January) so ‘unity’ is in my mind. How can I foster unity with fellow Christians? Jesus says that the extent to which we are united will be the deciding factor for whether ‘the world’ will believe that Jesus is God and comes from the Father. It is also blessed to promote unity in family, parish and work life.
