I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me
Isaiah longed for the day when Mary’s “Yes” would initiate the new creation with the Son of the Father becoming flesh in her womb. At Easter, we will celebrate the mystery of our rebirth in Christ, when bodily death was transformed into the doorway of eternal life. The desperate Court Official implored Jesus to save his son. “Go home, your son will live,” said Jesus. He went home, the boy lived; and he and his whole household believed in Jesus. Lord, Jesus, help me find you and praise you in the joys and sorrows of my life.
