ST JOHN OF GOD, RELIGIOUS (OPTIONAL)

Jeremiah 7:23-28; Psalm 95:1-2, 6-9; Luke 11:14-23

Harden not your hearts

God spoke to the Jewish people through his Prophet Jeremiah: “ ‘Listen to my voice, then I will be your God and you will be my people.’ … But they did not listen, they did not pay attention.” Jesus cast out the devil from the man who was mute and was accused by some as an agent of the devil (Beelzebub). The Pharisees and Scribes refused to listen and to acknowledge the healing power of Jesus.
Lord, grant me the grace to listen attentively to the promptings of your Holy Spirit in the circumstances of my life.
