Who are my mother and brothers?
Jesus’ mother and brothers are outside waiting for him. Jesus does not exclude his mother and brothers, but adds to his family “those who do the will of God.” The good news is that we are part of Jesus’ new family. We establish a 'family' relationship with Jesus by imitating his desire to do God’s will. In this way we become a brother or a sister to Jesus – we become 'family' with him. It’s great to know that Mary looks for us too. Mary, help me to follow Jesus more closely.
