Passing on the Good News
“Our hearts are restless till they rest in you Lord,” says Saint Augustine. Two of John’s disciples were restless. They were hoping John could solve their problem. But no! Then he points out “the lamb of God,” and they follow Jesus. Yes! He was the one. Then Andrew told his brother about this man and Andrew “took Simon to Jesus.” What a privilege it was for Andrew to introduce Simon Peter to Jesus. Through my prayer and gentle example, perhaps there is somebody I can introduce to Jesus. Just sharing my experience is enough and God will do the rest.
