Gaudete Sunday

Today is a day of rejoicing. Like Isaiah, we are full of joy at the coming of the Lord. No matter what the domestic arrangements of Christmas day will be like for us, we can all rejoice and celebrate the coming of the saviour. Gaudete Sunday introduces rose vestments into the liturgy and signals for us that the great feast of the Nativity of the Lord is not far away. How are our preparations going? It’s not too late!
