Your Kingdom come
Kings we’ve read about, or even experienced, are a mixed bunch. The good kings are in fairy tales – the king who knows and loves his people, who cares for them. He ensures they are happy. And people want to live with that king. Jesus, no fairy tale king, offers just that. And today we celebrate him as King. He calls us to his kingdom. And we pray daily that “your kingdom come.” We begin it here on earth in our daily lives. We hope to be, and aim to be, a resident in that kingdom! Pray for that.
