The best you can be

The parable of the talents exhorts us to be faithful and make good use of the gifts we have. It’s obvious our gifts vary considerably. I’m in awe at what some of my friends can do! But, what are my gifts? Some we take for granted – I’m good at whatever, and others know so. But some may be undeveloped, not yet recognised. Here’s the opportunity to check; note what I am good at! Thank God for each one. But what needs more practice, more effort? Ask God for help – and start the practice today.
