Love as I love myself

Loving myself can seem a bit selfish or self-centred! Often it is better put as “Do to others as you’d like them do to you.” Really putting others first takes some effort. Firstly, I need to want to. And then I have to work out what their needs are. And then I actually have to approach them. I have to be active in my loving them. Is there someone in my neighbourhood, or workplace, that I need to focus on? Ask God for the help, to recognise and act.
