Reach deeply

One of the prayers we are to treasure is our simple pause before eating as we pray grace. All is gift, including the food we can share. Sometimes we eat on the run and forget to pause and then fail to recall the giftedness of it all. Jesus challenges us to reach more deeply. He comments that often we can even predict the weather, but fail to reach more deeply into the action of God around us. Take time to notice the action of God, a good place to begin is wherever we see kindness.
