Engraving

Sometimes life can trap us. The Pharisees set out to trap Jesus and sometimes we too have been trapped. Attitudes that are negative and illusions about ourselves that seem so real, all subtly conspire to blind us to what is truly worth seeing. The head of Caesar is engraved on a metal coin of trade and contrast this with the image of God engraved within us. To live out of this engraving means love and freedom, but to do so we need to be free of the traps that prevent us from seeing what is most true about ourselves and each other.

Take hold of a coin today and allow yourself to feel God’s engraving within.
