All you need is love!

It is 50 years today since The Beatles topped the charts with their song, All You Need is Love. Naivety aside, there is a truth here that’s undeniable. We see it in every action of Jesus: his gentleness, his compassion, his healing touch. Even his ‘tough love’ has a softness to it! His ‘new commandment’ to love as he has loved us, leaves no doubt that ‘love’ is a priority for a fulfilled life. O God, you are Love itself. Help my loving to reflect your love for me – the love of a parent for a much wanted child. Amen.
