Blessed

The disciples truly see and truly hear. They perceive what the prophets and righteous people of old, including Joachim and Anne, longed to see: the reign of God in the realities of ordinary life in those vivid, puzzling parables which have unexpected twists and invite us to imagine in a radically different way. In the form of a beatitude, Jesus declares ‘blessed’ are the eyes and the ears. Reflect on and give thanks for when you truly see and truly hear.
