Do not be afraid I am with you

What appropriate readings to listen to as we celebrate the feast of St Philip Neri! In his preaching and in the penances he gave, Philip was renowned for the unusual ways in which he brought people to God. There are times when we may worry about what others think of us. If we are truly open to God, like Philip Neri, we too can hear the Lord saying to us, 'Do not be afraid, I am with you.' Then our pain will change to joy as Jesus promised.
