FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

Acts 6:1-7; Psalm 33; 1 Peter 2:4-9; John 14:1-12

We are God's own people

What a wonderful affirmation we have from Peter - he assures us that we are a chosen race - God's own people! What is my response? In Acts, Paul describes the response of the first century Christians - they were known to be Christians by their love. The proclaimers of the Word need us to be supporters of the Gospel message by caring for people, particularly the old, the sick, the troubled, the homeless, the young. What practical step am I going to take today?
