Compassion and concern

In today's reading Peter has to learn to accept a variety of people different from himself. Likewise our church has many voices: those who wish the church to stay the same and those who wish for change. Pope Francis' compassion and concern for the poor and the marginalised inspires us to be open to the authentic message of the Gospel that Jesus is the Good Shepherd leading us to have life and have it abundantly.
