Blessing the children

The children of our families are a special gift in our lives. They bring us joy and they give us hope. They invite us to find again our capacity for playfulness and help bring forth our ability to be imaginative and creative. They remind us of the innocence of our childhood. Jesus embraces the children and gives them his blessing. Let us hold in our prayer today the children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews who belong to us and bless them.
