The rewards of perseverance

In today’s First Reading we’re reminded of the importance of not losing sight of Jesus and to avoid everything that hinders us. And in the Gospel that message is reinforced by the personal encounters of those seeking Jesus who do not let their status, or the crowds around him, or the opinions of others prevent them from believing that Jesus can and will help them. We, too, are called to fix our eyes on Jesus and to trust him totally for nothing is impossible for God.
