FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Zephaniah 2:3, 3:12-13; Psalm 145:6-10;
1 Corinthians 1:26-31; Matthew 5:1-12

A place for all

Today’s Readings focus on the ‘little people’ – the ordinary, humble people who go about their daily lives as best as possible, but who don’t appear to have great power or influence. And most of us fit into that category of being ‘ordinary’ rather well! So we can take great encouragement from the fact that clearly such people have a special place in the heart and attention of Jesus – and that reality does give us real cause, in our prayer and in our lives, to rejoice and be glad.
