Praise God

Today’s Gospel is the Magnificat, Mary’s song of praise. With her we pray: ‘My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit exults in God, my saviour, who has looked with favour on this lowly servant.’ Mary is humble in her acceptance of bearing the Christ child. All of us carry the seed of God within us. We pray with Mary: ‘My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.’
