Isaiah 11:1-10; Ps 72; Luke 10:21-24

Power

The 72 disciples had just returned rejoicing because they had experienced the power of Jesus’ name (Luke 10:17). Is it any wonder Jesus was so full of the joy of the Holy Spirit? The prophecy in the passage from Isaiah had come true. Did your spirits lift as you read the scriptures today? Have you experienced the power of Jesus? Can you experience the same joy of the Holy Spirit as you ‘see what you see…hear what you hear.’ For me, that’s the meaning of Advent.
