Understanding the message

Am I like the inhabitants of Jerusalem and fail to understand the message of Jesus Christ? Their city was destroyed in 70 A.D. as a result. Will my ‘city’ be destroyed? We have the benefit of the Gospels and the teachings of the Church, and as quoted in the reading from Apocalypse, Jesus ‘with His blood He bought men for God …. and made them a line of kings and priests to serve our God and to rule the world.’ Lord, help us to understand your message.
