Philippians 2:1-4, Ps.131, Luke 14:12-14

Simplicity

If Jesus were here and now, using our language, he would probably have a lot to say about the out-of-control ego, that rampant me-first monster that creates all evil in the world. He describes it with other words, as does St Paul in his letter. The spiritual life is a simple life of love that sees God in everything. With that comes the awareness that we are part of everything and can never be lost to God.
