the Transfiguration of the Lord

Jesus transfigured in glory

Let us watch and listen with Peter, James and John, aware of the glory of our Divine Lord. The words of the Father -- “This is my Son, the Beloved, listen to Him” -- could be applied to most parts of the Gospel story – the healing miracles, the Sermon on the Mount, Calvary and Galilee. And to the Lord’s advice given to help live each day with Him as our way, truth and life. We also remember Blessed Paul VI, Pope 1963-78, who completed his earthly journey on this day.
