Understanding God’s will for us

Both the Old and New Testaments are important to our understanding of God’s will for us. Besides being able to see the Old Testament teachings in the light of those of Christ, the fulfilment of so many of the Old Testament prophecies and covenants provides encouragement that we are on the right path to God. We are part of the new covenant sealed in his blood and beneficiaries of the Holy Spirit’s continuous presence and action in our lives.

Lord, today I will make time to consider your word and praise your holy name as it is in heaven.
