Seek forgiveness
God forgives all our sins. We know this – but for some reason we forget sometimes, especially when – maybe after seeking reconciliation – we find ourselves yet again in a state of spiritual illness. This can be a wretched time, doing wrong, being in denial, feeling the burrs of an uneasy conscience. Yet facing the sinful facts, resolving to turn from them and humbly asking Christ for forgiveness and healing will restore us. His mercy is doubly proven through this, as seeking reconciliation helps us become more like him – following his example in loving and serving God and others.
Let us pray for the humility and courage to seek reconciliation with God and to follow Christ’s example of love and mercy for one another.
