Sunday 29 May
the Body and Blood of Christ
Genesis 14:18-20, Ps 110, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Luke 9:11-17
There is enough
The feeding of the 5000 was dependent on someone giving all they had. This is what Jesus did and does for us every time we share the Eucharist. When we receive his body and blood and say ‘Amen’ or ‘Nau mai,’ we are accepting that we are going to become him to others. We are saying ‘yes’ to him. Yes to being blessed, broken and shared with the hungry. It is a seriously dangerous disciple thing to do. When you receive Christ consider the power and responsibility of this ‘Amen.’ Beg him for the grace to see it through.
