Sunday 27 March
EASTER SUNDAY
Resurrection of the Lord
Acts 10:34, 37-43, Ps 118, Colossians 3:1-4,
John 20:1-9
ALLELUIA
We are now witnesses to the risen Christ. In one way our journey with him is over, our suffering lifted up, we are risen with Christ, our sins are forgiven. In another way we are just beginning our true lives with Christ, realising that sin no longer has power over us as we carry on the redeeming work started by Christ. Can I feel his Risen Presence in the Church? I need to imagine, to befriend the moment Peter and John ‘clicked’ what rising from the dead meant. Then I realize the magnitude of the Resurrection and what I am part of, of who I am witnessing to as I celebrate the Eucharist today.
