Abba and Me
Sometimes, when I’ve used the Lord’s Prayer as a means of meditation, I’ve not got past the opening words: “Our Father” or, as Jesus meant it, “Abba,” or “Dad.” To reflect on and to begin to experience the reality of that intimate Father-Son relationship between God and me revealed by Jesus’ words, is to venture into the most beautiful place: a place of serenity, of security, of safety, and, above all, a place where I feel so incredibly loved. Words cease.
“Be still and know that I am God.”
