Our Children’s Spiritual Inheritance

King David’s deathbed words to his son reflect the deep desire of all of us that our children will live lives that are pleasing to God. Of all the ambitions we may have for our kids, surely the only one which really matters is that they will go to Heaven hopefully to join us there! Many of my generation are troubled by their children having ceased the practice of their Catholic faith. However most of them have values and lead lives which are consistent with what Jesus taught us and we passed on to them. So while we continue to pray for and witness to them, we place their lives and their souls in the loving care of our merciful and loving God.
